LeSea Charters

LeSea Charters is an Alaska family owned sport-fishing service that operates out of the beautiful port of Seward, Alaska.  LeSea Charters provides both fishing charters and sightseeing trips in the coastal waters of the Gulf of Alaska, Kenai Fjords, Prince William Sound and Resurrection Bay.  We offer fishing trips for salmon, halibut, rockfish and ling cod. Our boat the Eleu has a heated cabin and a private head.  For your safety, the Eleu is equipped with all the electronics for safe navigation. The Eleu meets all safety requirements and is rated five star by the U S Coast Guard.

 

Captain Dewayne Brantley                     

Captain Dewayne Brantley, owner and operator of LeSea Charters begin his saltwater career in 1959 operating Navy recreational fishing boats out of San Diego. He has over 30 years of fishing experience in Alaska. Dewayne holds a U.S. Coast Guard license to operate in U.S. coastal waters. LeSea Charters is licensed by the State of Alaska as a fishing charter. LeSea Charters is insured and the crew is trained in First Aid and CPR procedures. We always put safety first. We are knowledgeable in the techniques of fishing for halibut, salmon and the other game fish species. We make ever effort to assure you have a safe and happy trip

Captain Alicia Busick (Brantley)

Alicia was born in Alaska and begin boating with her father early in life. She has worked several years in the family's Alaska charter business as a deckhand and skipper. Alicia also worked on the Charter boat Fisherman III out of San Diego. Alicia's takes great pride in her work and her clients return at the end of the day with smiling faces.

Alicia is not fishing this summer. Alicia and husband Jesse is expecting their first child which is due in June. We hope to have her back next summer for the 2009 season.

 Halibut season runs from May to September.

Silver Salmon usually start their run in late June and then into early September.

the run this year 2008 is late and none have been caught as of June 21. We are hopeing to see them show up soon.

Rhonda Cook of Atlanta, Georgia with a Quillback Rockfish. Rhonda and husband Rusty went on a half day trip and caught five silver salmon plus a few rockfish. 

Conditions were: Good company with Great personalities, Cloudy skies and Light rain. Seas were a little bumpy but not as bad as outside the bay.

A great day on the water with Barry Meijer of Norco, CA. A laid back day of sightseeing, fishing and exploring Resurrection Bay. A visit to the Kenai Fjords with it's magnificent glaciers which were rumbling like thunder and calving into the sea.
